1. Who we are

1.1 This Cookie Policy explains how Roswitha Gaudion-Roseleur, trading as Lumina Soul Therapy ("Lumina", "we", "us", "our"), uses cookies and similar technologies on our website.

1.2 It should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which sets out how we handle your personal data more broadly.

1.3 Contact: luminasoultherapy@gmail.com.

2. What are cookies?

2.1 Cookies are small text files placed on your device (computer, phone, tablet) when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work, or to work more efficiently, as well as to provide information to the site owners.

2.2 "Similar technologies" includes pixels, tracking pixels, web beacons, local storage, and SDKs in mobile apps. The rules in this policy apply to these technologies as well.

3. Your choices and consent

3.1 On your first visit to our website you will see a cookie banner ("the banner") that lets you accept or reject non-essential cookies. You can change your mind at any time using the "Cookie settings" link in our website footer.

3.2 Under the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), we need your consent before using any cookie that is not strictly necessary. Strictly necessary cookies (see clause 4.1) do not require consent.

3.3 If you do not consent to non-essential cookies, those cookies will not be set. We will respect your choice.

4. The cookies we use

We organise cookies into four categories. Each category has a different legal basis and a different default in the banner.

4.1 Strictly necessary cookies

These cookies are essential to the operation of the website. They include, for example, cookies that:

  • remember items in your shopping basket during checkout;

  • allow you to log in to a members' area;

  • balance traffic across servers;

  • remember whether you have dismissed the cookie banner.

Consent required: No. Strictly necessary cookies are exempt from the consent requirement.

4.2 Performance / analytics cookies

These cookies allow us to count visits and traffic sources so we can measure and improve the performance of the site. They help us understand which pages are popular and how visitors move around the site.

Consent required: Yes. Defaults to OFF in the banner.

If you do not currently use analytics cookies, you can leave this table empty and delete the section.

4.3 Functionality cookies

These cookies enable enhanced functionality and personalisation, such as remembering your preferences (for example, your name, language, or region) and providing enhanced, more personal features.

Consent required: Yes. Defaults to OFF in the banner.

4.4 Marketing / targeting cookies

These cookies are used to deliver advertising more relevant to you and your interests, and to measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns. They may also be used to limit the number of times you see an advertisement.

Consent required: Yes. Defaults to OFF in the banner.

If you do not currently run advertising or retargeting, leave this table empty and delete the section.

5. Third-party cookies

5.1 Some cookies on our site are set by third parties. The main third parties we use today are:

  • Stripe (payment processing) — sets strictly necessary cookies during checkout.

  • Systeme.io (course platform and email) — sets strictly necessary cookies for member areas and course access.

  • Interact (quiz platform) — sets cookies when you take our quiz.

  • Facebook / Meta (community and advertising) — sets cookies if we run Facebook ads, or if you log in to a Meta product that loads our page.

  • [Any analytics tools used, e.g. Google Analytics] — only if consent is given.

5.2 We do not control third-party cookies. Please check the relevant third party's own privacy and cookie notices for details of how they use cookies.

6. How to manage and refuse cookies

6.1 You can change your cookie choices at any time using the cookie settings link in the footer of our website (added when our consent management tool is activated)

6.2 You can also block cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to:

  • see what cookies are on your device;

  • delete all or some cookies;

  • block all cookies;

  • block third-party cookies only;

  • clear all cookies when you close the browser.

6.3 Useful browser guides:

6.4 Please note that if you block all cookies (including strictly necessary cookies), parts of our website may not work, for example, you may not be able to complete checkout or access your course.

7. "Do Not Track" and similar signals

7.1 Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" (DNT) feature. Our cookie banner does not currently respond to DNT signals, because DNT is not yet an industry-standard. Our banner provides an equivalent choice, you can reject all non-essential cookies with a single click.

8. Changes to this policy

8.1 We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time, for example if we add or remove cookies, or if a third party changes their cookies. The "Date last updated" at the top will reflect when the latest version was published.

8.2 Material changes (for example, a new category of cookie or a new third party) will be communicated by updating the consent banner on your next visit.
